For the first time, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) is considering announcing the results of both the 10th and 12th standard examinations on the same day. In a significant move, the board has clarified that it plans to declare the results by April 30 or May 1. Top officials of BOSE informed the Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that they are working to set a new trend by releasing multiple results simultaneously. “As of now, we are expecting to announce the results of 12th standard on April 30,” an official stated. However, they added that there is an 80 percent chance of the 12th standard results being declared on April 30, but in case of any delays, May 1 has been kept as a backup date.

The officials further mentioned that the results of the 10th standard might also be declared on the same date scheduled for the 12th standard. If needed, they have kept a window open for the 10th class results between April 30 and May 2. “We want to set some new precedents and trends by declaring different results on the same day,” the official emphasized. They highlighted that BOSE is putting in maximum efforts to ensure the twin declaration happens, a move that would be a first for the Board.

The Board has engaged its staff to work round the clock to meet the ambitious goal of announcing both 10th and 12th class results simultaneously. “My staff is working tirelessly so that we can announce the results of both classes on the same date,” the official said. The initiative reflects BOSE’s commitment to streamlining and speeding up the result declaration process, which could positively impact students and the overall academic calendar.

Notably, a total of 3,55,963 students were registered for the annual regular examinations of classes 10th, 11th, and 12th. Meanwhile, the Education Minister, Sakina Itoo, had directed BOSE and concerned authorities to ensure that the results are declared by April 30, further pushing the board to accelerate the process.
