JK Board 8th Class Date Sheet 2025: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has announced that Class 8th Annual Exams will now be conducted in October under a new competency-based assessment policy, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

As per Government Order No. 629-JK(Edu) of 2025, dated October 11, 2025, all Government and recognized private schools will hold in-house Summative/Annual Examinations under the supervision of Cluster or Complex Headsfrom the 2024–25 session onward.

The new system introduces:

  • Regular formative assessments
  • Remedial teaching for weak students
  • Supplementary exams to ensure every student progresses to Class 9
  • Teacher training by SCERT and DIETs on competency-based evaluation

Results will be declared before March 20 in Summer Zones and before October 25 in Winter Zones. New academic sessions will start from April 1 and November 1, respectively.

The order also emphasizes stronger Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and data monitoring by DIETs to ensure smooth implementation.
