Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO-2025): The Department of Mathematics, University of Kashmir, has issued the official Centre Notice-cum-Instructions for the Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO-2025), which will be conducted for students from the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh regions on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
The Regional Mathematical Olympiad (RMO) is a national-level mathematics competition conducted by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), Mumbai under the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM), Government of India.

🧑‍🎓 Eligibility
Only students who have qualified through the IOQM-2025 (Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics) from the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh regions are eligible to appear in RMO-2025.
Eligible students must report to the Department of Mathematics, University of Kashmir, for verification and further exam-related instructions.
đź“‹ Important Instructions for Candidates
Candidates must strictly follow the exam rules as outlined by the RMO guidelines:
- Bring your original School ID and Government Photo ID (Aadhaar or Passport), along with the Admit Card downloaded from the registration portal.
- You are allowed to use Ruler and Compasses only.
- ❌ Protractor, Divider, and Set Square are NOT allowed.
- Carry your own pens, pencils, erasers, and sharpeners.
- Write neatly with blue or black pen.
- Geometry diagrams should be drawn in pencil and properly labelled.
- Calculators (of any type) are strictly not permitted.
- Mobile phones, smart watches, and electronic gadgets are prohibited inside the exam hall.
- Rough sheets will be provided. Submit only the answer book and used rough sheets at the end of the exam.
- False or misleading information at any stage of the Mathematical Olympiad Program may lead to disqualification.
