Several candidates claimed that a number of questions asked in the exam had already appeared in a mock test conducted by a local coaching academy on November 6, raising concerns about the fairness of the examination process.

The allegations surfaced after multiple candidates reported that they came across news reports suggesting that several questions were circulating nearly three days before the official examination date.

Aspirants Highlight Concerns About Paper Length

Candidates also expressed dissatisfaction regarding the length and structure of the exam paper.

Several aspirants noted that the question paper was 40 pages long, making it difficult to complete within the two-hour duration.

One candidate said the negative marking further restricted their attempts:
“Because of negative marking, we had to attempt limited questions. Most of our time was spent reading and understanding the lengthy paper.”

Another aspirant stated that they could barely attempt 70 to 80 percent of the paper due to time constraints.

JKPSC Chairman Responds, Requests Formal Complaints

Reacting to the allegations, JKPSC Chairman Arun Kumar Choudhary told KNO that the Commission is open to receiving grievances directly from aspirants.

He said:
“If the aspirants have any issues, they can come to the office of JKPSC and submit their complaints.”

Regarding the alleged paper leak, the Chairman added:
“If the aspirants have evidence, they can come to us or lodge a complaint with the police.”

Choudhary cautioned against relying on unverified social media posts, stating that proper evidence is required for the Commission to take action.

Aspirants Seek Government Intervention

The candidates have appealed to the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to intervene and initiate an independent investigation into the allegations.

They argue that a transparent inquiry is essential to maintain fairness and credibility in future recruitment examinations conducted by the JKPSC.

Conclusion

The allegations of a partial paper leak in the JKPSC 10+2 Lecturer English Exam have sparked concerns among aspirants across Jammu and Kashmir. With the JKPSC Chairman inviting formal complaints and evidence, the issue may soon undergo official scrutiny.
