Subject: Adoption of J&K BOSE Prescribed Curriculum and Textbooks
It is hereby informed that all private affiliated schools with J&K BOSE are required to fully adopt the J&K BOSE curriculum and its prescribed textbooks from Classes 1st to 10th.
BOSE textbooks are available at the book stores of Srinagar and Jammu divisional offices, as well as at registered bookshops in every district.
The J&K BOSE textbooks are designed to be simple, comprehensive, and economical, with the objective of reducing academic stress. These textbooks are developed in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, incorporating NCERT content with local contextualization. The content promotes conceptual understanding, competency-based learning, and holistic education ensuring uniform quality across institutions.
It is mandatory for all affiliated private schools to adopt and teach the textbooks prescribed by J&K BOSE as per existing laws and regulations. Non-compliance with these instructions may invite strict action against such institutions.
