The Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar has officially released the Final Answer Key and Selection/Engagement List for the recruitment of Senior Residents in various disciplines.
This comes after the written test (OMR–MCQ Based) conducted on 30 October 2025, under Advertisement Notice No. 12-RA of 2025, dated 13 September 2025. The latest update was issued through Notification No. 44-EC of 2025, dated 06 November 2025.
🩺 Disciplines Included in the Selection Process
The written test and subsequent selection have been carried out for the following specializations:
- CVTS (Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery)
- Pathology
- Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Ophthalmology
- Surgical Gastroenterology
📋 Revision of Answer Keys
Earlier, the Provisional Answer Key was released via Notification No. 43-EC of 2025 (Dated: 30.10.2025), with an option for candidates to raise objections by 01 November 2025 (1:00 PM) upon paying a fee of ₹300.
- Only one representation was received against two questions (Q45 & Q60) from the Obstetrics & Gynaecology discipline.
- The matter was referred to the subject expert, who found some claims valid and others invalid.
- Based on expert recommendations, necessary corrections were made, and the Revised/Final Answer Key was adopted.
✅ Final Declaration
After incorporating the accepted changes, GMC Srinagar has declared the Final Answer Key(s) as official and binding. No further claims, objections, or representations will be entertained.
The result of the written test held on 30.10.2025 for engagement of Senior Residents has also been released and is available as Annexure “A” of the official notification.
