The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has declared Tuesday, November 11, 2025, as a paid holiday in connection with the bye-elections to Assembly Constituencies 27-Budgam and 77-Nagrota.

According to the official government order:

  • November 11, 2025 shall be observed as a paid holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
  • The directive applies to all employees working in businesses, trades, industrial establishments, offices, and commercial undertakings located within the Budgam and Nagrota constituencies.
  • Employers have been instructed not to deduct wages or apply any abatement of salary due to the declared holiday.

The move aims to facilitate maximum voter participation in the bye-elections and uphold the democratic process in the Union Territory.
