J&K Govt Announces 3-Day Training Program on Accountability & Transparency under RTI Act

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through the General Administration Department (GAD), has issued Government Order No. 1451-JK(GAD) of 2025, sanctioning the nomination of designated Public Information Officers (PIOs), First Appellate Authorities, and Nodal Officers from various departments to attend a three-day training course on “Accountability & Transparency in Government through Right to Information Act.”

The training will be conducted from 12 November 2025 to 14 November 2025 at the J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration & Rural Development (IMPARD), Main Campus, M.A. Road, Srinagar. The session will commence daily at 10:00 AM.

🎯 Objective of the Training

The program is aimed at:

  • Strengthening transparency, citizen-centric governance, and public accountability
  • Enhancing the implementation of the RTI Act
  • Training officials to ensure efficient information delivery and compliance with public service transparency standards
