- Tier-I and Tier-II Exams: The SSC CGL Tier-I results were declared on December 5, 2024, and the Tier-II examination was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode on January 18, 19, 20, and 31, 2025.
- Withheld and Rejected Candidates: The final results of 1,267 candidates have been withheld due to various reasons, while 253 candidates were rejected, debarred, or cancelled from the selection process.
Cut-off Marks for SSC CGL 2024
The SSC has released the category-wise and post-wise cut-off marks for the CGL 2024 examination. The cut-off marks vary depending on the category and the specific post applied for.
For instance, the Unreserved (UR) category had a cut-off of 322.77352 for Tier-II, while the OBC category had a cut-off of 306.27841. Similarly, for posts requiring Computer Proficiency Test (CPT), the cut-off for UR candidates was 27 marks, and for Data Entry Speed Test (DEST), the maximum error percentage allowed for UR candidates was 5%.

Tie-Breaking Rules
In cases where candidates scored the same marks, the commission used the following tie-breaking criteria to determine merit:
- Marks in Paper-II for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Statistical Investigator Gr. II (SI), if applicable.
- Marks in Section-I of Paper-I in the Tier-II examination.
- Date of Birth: Older candidates were given preference.
- Alphabetical Order: The names of the candidates were considered in alphabetical order.
Next Steps for Qualified Candidates
- Document Verification: Candidates who have been provisionally selected will undergo document verification by their allocated departments. If a candidate does not receive any communication from the department within six months of the result declaration, they must contact the concerned department immediately.
- No Reserve List: The SSC has clarified that no reserve or waiting list will be prepared for SSC CGL 2024. Any unfilled vacancies or those arising from non-joining candidates will be carried forward to the next year.
