The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) manages recruitment exams for the Central Government in India and is gearing up to hire individuals for the General Duty (GD) Constable position. This role is highly sought after in various armed forces across India, including CAPF, SSB, NCB, and Assam Rifles. These forces meet their staffing needs through the SSC GD recruitment process.

The SSC has already published its annual schedule for conducting examinations in 2023 on its official website. According to this schedule, the application process for SSC GD Constable recruitment 2024 will commence on November 24, 2023, and will conclude on December 28, 2023. The board aims to recruit over 84,000 constables through this process.

As per the notification, the SSC GD Constable exam will be held from February 20, 2024, to March 12, 2024. Although the detailed notification hasn’t been released yet, it will be made available on the website before the start of the online application process.

• The age of the applicant should be between 18 to 25 years which will be calculated after announcing the official notification.
• Applicant should be minimum 10th pass from any recognise board in India
• Candidates have to appear in the PET and PST.
• Only Indian citizens are applicable to apply in this recruitment
• You have to pay Rs 100 online fees if you belongs to unreserved categories or EWS/ OBC category. However, women, SC, ST, PWD candidates do not need to pay any fees for this recruitment

• After that you will reach on the new page where you have to enter your personal details including Aadhar card number, name, parents name, government ID number, home address, email id and mobile number etc.
• Now create the user id and password for login and after that visit to the login page
• Once you login to the website you can see the application link on your screen where you have to click on the apply now link.
• Your basic details will automatically fill in this application form, you have to select the preferences of examination centre, 10th class details, etc.
• Now you have to upload the passport size photograph and the signature of the applicant
• After that you have to pay the fees according to your category and your application will be successfully submitted

The selection procedure of SSC GD Recruitment 2023

The recruitment process for GD Constables follows three phases. The first phase is a Computer Based Test (CBT) examination. In this test, you’ll need to select the correct answer from multiple-choice options.

If you score above the cut-off marks for your category, you’ll move on to the next phase, which includes a medical examination along with Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).

After that, candidates proceed to the document verification round, which is the final phase of recruitment. If you successfully pass all the phases, your name will be included in the SSC GD Constable Merit List 2024.
