Tentative Seniority List of JKPS Officers in SSP Rank: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Home Department, has released the Tentative Seniority List (TSL) for officers of the Jammu & Kashmir Police (Gazetted) Service in the rank of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Selection Grade-I (General Cadre) under Level-13 (₹123100-₹215900) of the Pay Matrix.
The list has been issued vide Government Order No. 535-Home of 2025, dated 11 November 2025, in line with the J&K Police (Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules, 2024 (SO 500 of 2024) and Rule 24 of the J&K Civil Services (CCA) Rules, 1956.
The seniority reflects the position of officers as on 01 November 2025.
Objections Allowed Within 21 Days
The Home Department has invited representations from concerned officers who wish to challenge their inter-se seniority:
- Objections must be submitted within 21 days from the date of issue
- Representations must be backed by documentary evidence
- Email for submissions: home-jk@nic.in
- No objections will be entertained after the deadline
- The final seniority list will be issued thereafter
The order also clarifies that the TSL is subject to outcomes of court cases and that dates of birth will be cross-verified with original service records.
