The Department of Social Work, University of Kashmir, has announced a Walk-in Interview for the recruitment of research staff for a Government-sponsored research project titled:

“Social Audit of Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman (PM POSHAN) — erstwhile Midday Meal Scheme in Kashmir Division.”

This project, sponsored by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, aims to conduct a social audit to evaluate the impact, efficiency, and transparency of the PM POSHAN (Midday Meal) scheme in schools across the region.

The Walk-in Interview is scheduled for 12 November 2025 (Wednesday) at 10:30 AM at the Department of Social Work, University of Kashmir.

2. Research Assistant (Social Audit Coordinator)

  • Posts: 2
  • Duration: 3 Months
  • Qualification:
    • PG in Social Science disciplines (55% minimum)
    • 2 years of field-based research/data management experience
  • Desirable Skills:
    • Excellent data compilation and coordination skills
    • Knowledge of MS Office and Excel

3. Field Investigator (Social Auditor)

  • Posts: 20
  • Duration: 1 Month
  • Qualification:
    • PG in Social Work (minimum 55% marks)
  • Desirable Skills:
    • Prior field research experience
    • Knowledge of community surveys and data tools
    • Good communication and coordination ability
