In a statement, Additional Spokesperson of the Association, Zubair Reshi, said that while colleges have rightly commenced their summer break, younger students are being asked to return to classrooms after a mere 10-day vacation.
This decision disregards the serious health risks posed by the current intense heat, which can lead to dehydration, fatigue, and heat-related illnesses among children, he said.
I think there should be again a summer break for students as they need to re fresh there minds and many of students always fell ill at school which cause suffer for parents as well
There should be again a summer break at least for nursery students my daughter fell ill at school as she only 4 yrs old
Yes absolutely true authorities think about elders not for kids. It’s our humble request to authorities please extend summer breaks for some more days again.

How he can feel the heat in his AC office room. He is not a good administrator. One side the govt took initiatives to ease the students from the boredom and in the mean time the govt take all those vital decisions which take students life at risk…
Just look weather department clears that from next 10 days there will be an intense heat wave in Kashmir. But instead to give some relief to the students from nursery to 10th. They forced to attend the schools from 18th July where higher education call off collage and university students for summer vacation.
Isn’t our director education looks like a man without having any sense.
U have look jammu’s heat .. then u know about the garmi… Actual heat and humidity starts in jammu…where they open the school for all age group kids.
In my opinion, it’s necessary that there should be a summer break for some more days in Kashmir as there is much intensity in heat.

The exams are scheduled and cant be postpones. After exams schools should resume only after 15 august so that children can enjoy vacations without any burden of exam.
You are right,but who sits in AC rooms can’t understand.Most of our schools in Kashmir are with out fans even without cross ventilation.further overcrowded classes are like hell , with no student teacher ratio.This is the matter of serious concern that in this ongoing heatwave Our administrators like Ceo’s and Zeo’s use the method of hibernate,they should visit schools to check the basis facilities like drinking water , clean toilet 🚽 etc which most even private schools lack.
There should be extension of summer vaccination
I have decided not to send my children school till the heat wave continues.As I know how much school children are suffering due to lack of cooling arrangements. In school despite getting huge fee. And in Govt schools the conditions are most worst.If an officer from higher authority send his child in a normal school the he can feel the difference.
Any way I request the authorities for extension of summer vacations up to ending july.as there is no difference in jammu and kashmir tempratures now a days

I think the best way to overcome the heatwave is morning time because summer season with intense heat is atleast 50 days. I think the best way for government is to change the school timing from 10am to 4pm to 8am to 12:30 pm without morning assembly and lunch break .
There should be extension of summer vacations for almost 4 to 5 days ..
If you give two months summer vocation to govt teachers they would have much needed fun. Bring teachers to school but you should have extended vocation for kids upto 5th grade atleast for some more days

I have kept my children at home in view of the prevailing adverse climatic conditions. We can’t afford to put our wards in danger, when authorities are hellbent on their decision.
Children are delicate . Continuous heat wave can God forbidden cause heath problems to young ones. Heat wave is more and much pesky than COVID issue. Being a parent I beseech to extent the duration of summer vacations .rest depends upon higher Authorities.

Children are not capable of tolerating heat like adults.Continuous expose to heat wave can pose serious health risks. In addition they return exhausted and tired by which they are unable to focus on studies.Summer break should get extended.
